Christ Arose! (1916)

Up from the grave He arose! With a mighty triumph o’er His foes; He arose a Victor from the dark domain, and He lives forever with His saints to reign,

He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Low in the grave He lay. Jesus my Savior waiting the coming day. Vainly they watch His bed, Jesus my Savior! Vainly they seal the dead.

Death cannot keep his prey, Jesus my Savior! He tore the bars away!

Jesus was dead and they wanted to make sure it stayed that way. They remembered that He said after three days I will rise again. So they put guards on the tomb and sealed the stone.

Their plan safe and secure. But God! Satan’s plan is just that! A plan.

And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. Matthew 28:2

He Lives (1933)

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart.

Death couldn’t hold him! The grave couldn’t hold him! Satan had lost the keys and the disciples were witnesses! They saw him alive and they saw him return to heaven! Jesus told them to tarry. He wanted them to pray, until ye be endued with power from high Luke 24:49. The Bible tells us that they returned to Jerusalem with great joy! And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Luke 25:53

He Ransomed Me (1916)

Hallelujah! What a Savior! Who can take a poor lost sinner, lift him from the miry clay and set him; Hallelujah! I will ever tell the story, shouting glory, glory, glory, Hallelujah! Jesus ransomed me.

I Love to Tell the Story (1869)

I love to tell the story; ‘tis pleasant to repeat what seems each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet: I love to tell the story, for

some have never heard the message of salvation from God’s own holy Word.

I love to tell the story; for those who know it best seem hungering and thirsting to hear it, like the rest: and when in scenes of glory I sing the new, new song, ‘twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.

I love to tell the story, ‘twill be my theme in glory to tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

Happy Easter!
