God Sees Your Potential
“And there came an angel of the Lord, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abi–ezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.”
Judges 6:11 KJV
The Israelites had turned against God. And we're being oppressed, the scripture tells what happened in Judges 6. But it says that the Israelites cried out to God. This is so important because it shows us that God is always listening. When they turned to God he turned to them and his blessing was restored. When God restored his blessing there wasn't a thing the enemy could do to stop the Israelites. God also wanted all the glory. So he chose a natural born leader, who was also humble. God saw a warrior in Gideon even when Gideon viewed himself as weak and overlooked.
God sees your true potential even when you don't. Gideon was hiding, and when the Angel of the Lord spoke to him he had a response that most Christians today would have. He told him how unqualified he was. He said my family is poor and I am the least in my father’s house. But the Angel of the Lord said " The Lord is with thee oh mighty man of valor."
“And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.” Judges 6:16 KJV
The lord does not see us how we see ourselves. The Lord sees us in our destiny. The Lord our God sees us in who he created us to be, he created us to be conquerors to take dominion over our enemies, and to not forget that Jesus said that the same power that God gave him, he also gave us. We must give all the Glory and Honor to him in the battle and in the victory.
My Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father I want to thank you for your love and your mercy and your grace. I want to thank you that you see my full potential even when I do not. You see a mighty man of valor, a man with a purpose and a destiny. I pray that I am able to encourage other people around me into seeing their full potential that you have for them. Give me the strength and the wisdom to make war with the enemy. To be a mighty warrior that you have created me to be.
Amen
