The River

Everything that has life requires water to live. The plants need water. Flowers, trees, grass, they all need water or they die. Same thing with people. People require water to survive. You and I need water.

God sent Elijah to the brook Cherith to dwell, and to drink of the brook. 1 Kings 17:3-4

Being tired from His journey , Jesus was resting at Jacob's well when a Samaritan woman came to draw water. Jesus said to her that if she had asked Him, He would have given her “Living Water”. Jesus is the source of that “Living Water”.

In John 7:38, Jesus told the people, “He that believe on me, as the scripture haith said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Zechariah tells us in Zechariah 14:8, that the “Living Waters” will continue to flow through summer and through winter.

Revelation 22:17 says, if you are thirsty, come and drink of the water of life freely.

That river is still flowing! If you are struggling with the problems of life, you can draw strength from that river of “Living Water” whose name is Jesus. He will lift you up and carry you through your problems.
