Bible Verses That Have Meaning to Us

Part 2

My forth verse is the last part of Joshua 24:15, As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. I will admit that I forget what verse it is but I remember the words/meaning of the verse. This verse became important to me when David and I got married, because we both had decided to serve our Lord and Savior. Now with Shawna on the way, the verse has more meaning because as a part of the family she will also serve God. The thing about this verse that makes it important to my family (in my opinion) is that we grow as a family in God, so we can serve Him together.

My final verse is Matthew 28:19-20 which reads Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. When I started on the path to be a Museum Curator, I realized that I had a passion for children and that I wanted to inspire them in the arts. We live in a world that doesn’t put much credit in the arts as a future, I wanted children to feel inspired to follow their dreams no matter what. It wasn’t until I got called to be a youth minister that I realized that my passion was just a little off, instead of children it would be teenagers and instead of the arts it would be in God. I was called to inspire the youth to become closer to God. Now how does this apply to this verse? It is simple, I may not be the one who will go to the nations and teach people who have never heard of God. I am called to inspire the youth not to travel to remote areas of the world, but I will inspire those that will go out into the world and teach in God’s name.

These are only five great verses in the Bible, but they are the ones that have a deep impact on my life in some way. Do you have any verses that mean something to you?
