Hearing God's Voice

There are several ways in which the Holy Spirit will speak to you:

God’s written Word “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalms 119:105

He speaks through authorities “Obey your leaders and submit to their authority.” Hebrews 13:17

He speaks through creation “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen...” Romans 1:20

He speaks in sentence form or a few words that you can understand in your mind and spirit. “Then He placed His right hand on me and said: Write therefore what you have seen.” Revelation 1:17-19

He speaks to us through favor shown to us by others. “So pharaoh said to Joseph I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt...” Genesis 41:41

The Holy Spirit is your master teacher here on earth. “When the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth: for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you of things to come.” John 16:13

Take your time.....Slow down.... God wants to speak to you and I in a “Still small Voice” if we pay attention and be in a listening mode. Check out our reference in 1 Kings 19:11-13.
