Wedding Vows

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37

As I meditate on this verse the thought came to me—these are our wedding vows to Christ. How many of us obey it with all our heart? A lot of Christians want just “partnership” and “not ownership.” When we give Christ all our hearts, soul, and mind we become one with Him and complete.

Every day I make a choice to surrender my heart to Christ and love Him with all my soul and mind. Do I make mistakes? Sure, I do. I deal with Bonnie and that alone is a battle, but He knows my heart.

“Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 37:4
