Love

“If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as, to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-7 NASB

Love has compassion, love speaks peace, love endures hurt.

As a follower of Christ we are commissioned to Love as Christ. This means a Kingdom love. When given the opportunity give compassion to people that you think need to “learn their lesson.” I am not saying to enable a person, but have compassion. Always be ready to give your time, give your money, give your words of Peace. Love speaks peace, you could be the course correction or, only complicate the situation. Love shows them how to do it right, not just telling them how they are doing it wrong. Love endures the hurt when they chose not to listen, or lashes out because they are embarrassed. You cannot control the actions of others but you can endure with love to help them until they see truth.

"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.”

Matthew 7:1-2 NASB

My Prayer Heavenly Father give me love, let my love, give me the ability to speak peace. Let me have the ability to see past hurt. Let me not judge but be able to give love. You know everything we need and look down always willing to help us in our need. You are perfect in all that you do. Bless our church with unspeakable love. Draw hurting people, broken people to our church so we can show them your Love.
