God Controls Me!

There is a great short story that I read some time ago about some dogs. This barbarian chief wanted to honor Alexander the Great by giving him three noble dogs of superior courage. Shortly after the chief had gone, Alexander decided to test the dogs. He had a stag before them; but the dogs only yawned and went to sleep. Then he had a hind and an antelope put into the park area with them; but the dogs were not interested. Alexander, certain that the dogs were worthless, had them killed. Well, a few days later the chief returned to ask about his favorite friends...the dogs. When he was told what had been done to them he cried, “O Alexander, you are a great king, but you are a very foolish man. You showed them a stag and a hind and an antelope, and they paid no attention; but if you had turned a lion and a tiger loose on them you would have seen what brave dogs I had given you.”

Yes! It takes danger to bring forth courage.

1. What comes out of you when you are challenged? 2. Spiritual preparation is vital in the life of a follower of

Jesus. What do you do that helps against the attacks of

the evil one? 3. Look at Ephesians 6:12 and 16; what are the attacks of

the evil one?

Reread Ephesians 6:10-20.

Always be on alert Be strong in the Lord Have the strength of His might Stand Firm Resist Be a person of perseverance Have boldness I am an ambassador

Be that D.O.G. = Disciple of God! I pray that starting today God would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man. Eph. 3:16
