The Children
“Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.” James 1:27 NASB
This verse is one scripture that we must all hold as a core value to our walk as a Christian. It is clearly stated the Church must care for the needs of the widows and orphans. This is undefined and pure religion. God’s perfect plan for the church is that we as a whole care for people who have need, the fatherless is what my heart breaks for. Each Christian has a burden on their heart for people who cannot care for themselves, this is the heart of Jesus who when you ask to come into your heart changes your heart to his heart.
My heart breaks for children who have been pushed aside, abandoned, who does not know the Love of a Father or Mother. I could not even imagine life not knowing the kind of love that I was shown. It has given me strength, perseverance, and the ability to see God as the Loving Father that He is. The Heavenly Father has given me great compassion and my heart literally breaks and I fight back tears when I see a child who has been given a life that they would not have chosen. Everyone longs for love to be a son or daughter that knows beyond anything that no matter who leaves them they know their parents never will.
My greatest desire is to build a home for children who have been given no one who loves them, who have been abandoned and show them the love of a father. To love them with a father’s love that will show them the Heavenly Father loves them the same way. I do not know how or when but just to change the life of even one child what a gift that would be. What can you do?
