Air

Several years ago, Bill Cosby had a skit called “Why is there air?” His answer was of course, to fill basketballs.

As Christians, we know that God created Heaven and earth. He created the plants and the animals, and He created the atmosphere (or air) so the plants and animals could live. He

knew that one day He would create man and that man would also need the air to sustain life. He breathed life into man with His breath and called him Adam.

Today we breathe the same life sustaining air that God provided for Adam. In His design, that air is refreshed daily from the plants He created. Before the earth was formed, God knew you would be here right now. He knew and know your needs. He has provided your very basic need, air to breathe. Every living things requires air to live.

Just like the air, God has provided for your other needs as well. Most importantly, He has provided a way of salvation, a gift of eternal life (John 3:16).

Romans 6:23b says, “...The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” God gave us a choice. Just like the air we breathe, God’s gifts are free. You just need to accept them.
