Don't be Afraid

2 Timothy 1:7 says, For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.

I love the song “No Longer Slaves” and the chorus says:

I’m no longer a slave to fear I am a child of God

Fear itself is not of God. How do I know that? God’s Word says that God is Love. God also says that His perfect love casts out all fear! Fear paralyses you and you can’t move in the natural. The same thing happens day in and day out in our walk with Christ. Jesus has called us to Love and reach out and do but we never will be able to if we are held back by fear.

Today I want you to realize that you are a son and a daughter of the Most High God! He loves you and he is for you! He says He will never leave you nor forsake you. He sticks closer than a brother or a sibling! That’s our God!
