Keep...Store...Keep

Proverbs 7:1-2 "My son, keep my words, and store or treasure up my commandments within you. Keep my commandments and live, and my teaching as the apple of your eye."

Proverbs 6:6 "Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise." Proverbs 6:8 "..prepares her food in the summer."

Matthew 4:4 "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." This new year I want us to take a look at Proverbs 6:6-8 that brings light to our understanding on ants.

For our information Proverbs 6 tells us that ants have no captain, overseer, or ruler, yet they gather their food in the harvest. Here is some more information on our friends the ants.

  1. Ants are driven by purpose. What is your main focus?

  2. Ants work as a team. Are you a team player?

  3. Ants know to rest and know when to work. Do you know when to rest?

  4. Ants think real big. Always pursue something bigger than yourself.

  5. Ants prepare ahead of time. Redeem your time.

  6. Ants carry workloads they can handle. Ants know their limits. As little as the ant is, ants can handle up to one hundred times their weight.

  7. Ants have one of the greatest qualities and that is serving one another.

This week take time and study this little God given creature. They can bring insight into your daily routine.
