Webster's Dictionary definition of a friend..

  1. One attached to another by affection or esteem.

  2. A person who gives assistance; patron, supporter.

A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow.

F = A true friend is family.

R = A true friend is real.

I = A true friend is important.

E = A true friend is an encourager.

N = A true friend is needed. The song, "I need you to Survive."

D = A true friend is dependable.

Be very careful in choosing friends, especially conveying that to our children and grandchildren. Read I Corinthians 15:33.

John 15:13”Greater love hath no man than this...that a man lay down his life for his friends."
