God's Universe

This morning, as I look out my stateroom window at the vast Pacific Ocean; What a beautiful sight, miles and miles of blue sky and water. I wonder how many people have slipped beneath the water; forever lost to family and friends. Old sailors called it “Davy Jones Locker”. One thing I know for sure, whether in the water or on land somewhere, the Lord knows where I am at any given moment of time. His presence is always with me, to guide and protect.
Psalm 139:7-14 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the Heavens, you are there; If I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light will become night around me,” even in the darkness will not be dark to you; the light will shine like the day, for darkness is light to you. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made (NIV)
What a thought; the God who created this universe is concerned about me. He sent His blessed Holy Spirit to guide and protect.
What a great God we serve!
