“A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.” ~Author Unkown

1 Peter 1:6-7 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

It says in the book of John that in this world we would have trials and tribulation but be of good cheer He has overcome. This passage is giving us hope. Will we have to still go through something? Yes, but just through it not to stay in it. If you find yourself in the midst of a fiery trial today or in the future I want you to do this….Call upon the name of the Lord.

Psalm 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

There is something about your children that when they are crying out for help you urgently run to them to help them and to comfort them. God is the same way even if he cannot take away the trial he says he will stick closer than a brother. God is here for you. Today wherever you are call upon the name of the Lord.

Have a great day.
