Dreams

Every one of us has had dreams at one time or another. Some people say that dreams are silly and pay no attention to them, while others say every dream has a meaning. Often times, God uses dreams for his purpose. We see that in Genesis Chapter 40 & 41.

God game the interpretation of Pharaoh’s dream to Joseph thereby warning of the seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine. Because of Joseph’s interpretation Pharaoh made Joseph second in command over all of Egypt. With that, Joseph was able to store up food during the 7 years of plenty and provide for the people of Egypt during the years of famine.

I’m not saying that every dream is from God. God has used dreams to talk to men throughout the scriptures. He is the same “yesterday, today and forever”. Acts 2:17b says, “your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams.”

I’m just saying, before dismissing a dream, consider it, pray about it. Is there a message in there for you? Is God trying to converse with you?
