Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it. 1 Corinthians 12:27
As an ex-baseball player, I was fortunate enough to play at a very high level in many stadiums around the country and even overseas representing the United States. As I reflect back on when I was a “Rookie” or when I was experiencing a lot of these things for the first time I tried to sum it up in a few words.
These five words are what I felt propelled me on to play at the high level I got to. These words are: Passion, Belief, Humility, Gratitude, and Intensity. Over the next 5 days we will break each word down and apply it to our lives as Christians. But today we need to look back and reflect on the first time we experienced things for the first time as a new believer, being baptized, filled with the Holy Spirit and hearing God’s voice.
Remembering these things and being able to relive them refreshes our spirit and encourages us. Pray today and reflect in preparation for these events to propel us back into the “Rush” we had as we walked in God's presence.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9
