Gratitude Day 5/6

Always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father. Ephesians 5:20

The attitude of gratitude. In life it goes without saying that we have many things to be thankful for. But, how many times do we actually say it? As a young man growing up in sports, it was easy to take the little things for granted and miss opportunities to show my gratitude. Going hand in hand with humility that we talked about yesterday gratitude is an amazing way to spread God's love with just two simple words. “Thank You”. It does not matter where we are or what we are doing, we have hundreds of opportunities each day to say thank you to someone for something they did for us. So how many times do we actually say those simple words? Once in a while, maybe when its something big, or do we say it all the time and let it pour out of us?

The Bible says in Colossians 2:7 be rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. When we get to the point where we are overflowing with gratitude, it begins to become contagious. We can spread God's love by simply saying “Thank You” with genuine gratitude and allowing it to become contagious and spread through the lives of everyone we come in contact with. Pray today that you see all the little opportunities to show your gratitude in your life and spread God’s love.

Be Blessed!
