Intensity Day 6/6
Intensity simply put is having a Whatever-It-Takes approach. Intensity is defined as having great strength, energy, or concentration. When we have intensity with something we cut out our distractions and with great focus and determination we tackle what it is that we are doing.
As a coach, I measure our player’s intensity by how hard they are playing at practice or a game. I push my players each day to learn how to focus on the task they are trying to accomplish and to go as hard as they can in completing it. For Christians, intensity can be summed up by how hard we are chasing after a relationship or a deeper understanding of God’s Word. We must understand that is something we should always chase after until we have finished our race.
Philippians 3:13-14, Brothers and Sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do; Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
It's pretty simple, we have a prize waiting on us in heaven. We are willing to press with huge intensity towards rewards that we get here on earth, so can we chase after our heavenly prize with the same intensity? Getting in the Word, putting more emphasis in our prayer time, and simply building in time to our day to work on these 5 areas. Passion, Belief, Humility, Gratitude, and Intensity.
Be Blessed!
