Childlike Faith

“What do you think? If any man has a hundred sheep and one of them has gone astray, does not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go and search for the one that is straying? If it turns out that he finds it, truly I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray. So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish. Mathew 18:12-14 Every night before I turn the kid’s television off Jasmine and Gavin come running to me with arms open wide with the same spoken words every night. "Mommy, huggy, kissy pray!" There are days I'm tired, grumpy, or I think I have something else to do and yet every night they come expecting for us to put everything aside and take quiet time for us and God.

As an adult it's so easy to get caught up in the everyday but children seem to always catch us unaware in our moods, or circumstances and ground us to the most important things: love and time for God.

When I read Matthew 18: 12-14 this is what I believe God is showing us. There is nothing more important than to give God your time, devotion, and to do it Faithfully. It says in Proverbs 22:6 to train up a child and they will not depart from it. In all of these things I am understanding more and more to trust God like a child. With abandonment, without fear, and without worry, or what others think. It's time brothers and sisters to drop the shackles at Jesus feet and trust him with the faith of a child to truly love and know that your father has only good for you and he will care for you and love you unconditionally as you would with your own children. We have much to learn in this life but the biggest is love to our Father and to look to him and have faith in all things.
