My Epic Story

We recently returned from Youth Camp and the theme was My Epic Story. I started thinking about my Epic Story and The Lord reminded me of Psalms 139. I love this chapter of the Bible because it really is about our Epic Story.

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Psalms 139: 1-3

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalms 139: 13-14

Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Luke 12:7

We were created very special, no one has the same DNA. We were knitted together with a purpose in mind. You have an Epic calling on your life. You are very special, if He loved you enough to create you, care about your thoughts, know when you are awake and sitting, and know the hairs on your head, then He has a purpose for your life. We all have an Epic story but it requires us to surrender our worldly self and allow God to use us. I encourage you to read Psalms 139 and think about your story.

How can you be used to further God’s kingdom? What is your purpose? What do you need to give up to surrender your worldly self?
