All In (Part 1)
Being all in means you take up your cross.
“Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”
Matthew 16:24-25 NASB
We are the example of the Church. We are what people either want to be a part of or the very thing that they run from.
Being a Christian is not going to church on Sunday and paying our tithes. Being a Christian is living a life after Jesus Christ. A life of devotion, a life of surrender. Daily laying down our lives taking up our cross and walking out our salvation. I have a rule for myself, every encounter I have with anyone good or bad is an opportunity. Can I invite them to church after? Did I show them Jesus? Did I demonstrate love, mercy, grace? Sometimes taking up your cross requires great sacrifice. Our greatest example rode into Jerusalem and was honored and called the Messiah. Then was mocked, beaten, and crucified, and never once defended himself.
