Blessed Hope

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. Titus 2:11-14

Oh my! We had a time in lesson last Sunday during Children’s Church! We have been studying doctrine. We are on our last few lessons about the end times. I was a little concerned about how to get across to the children this vital information. It is information that is very important to know but can scare them also. I broke the lesson up into a couple of weeks so we could go slower and have time for explanation. We discussed in great detail “The Rapture of the Church”. As the kids began to get more involved in the discussion and details of this event I could see them sitting up more in their chairs. Some of them even began to move forward. They got excited and pelted me with questions. The room began to explode with anticipation and then it happened Izzy Snider and Kenlee Scott began to preach! Oh what a team they will be! It was bubbling out of them and Izzy started to tell his friends about the New Heavens and the New Earth! I had saved that part for the next week’s lesson but God wanted it told right then! What a blessing to see Izzy tell of the hope that was in him!

If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied. BUT now Christ has been raised from the dead! 1 Corinthians 15:19-20

The Rapture of the Church is a time when Jesus comes and catches away all who have loved and served Him. It is the “Blessed Hope” because it will be a time of great joy for those who love Jesus! Jesus has been in heaven preparing us a place! He is coming back to fulfill that promise! It will be a surprise and will happen in the twinkling of an eye. We won’t have time to start following Jesus when we hear the trumpet. If we aren’t already following Him it will be too late. Join the joyous occasion! As Pastor Matt says, “Do a check-up!” Are you ready?

My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ, the solid Rock I stand;

All other ground is sinking sand,

All other ground is sinking sand.

When He shall come with trumpet sound, Oh, may I then in Him be found; In Him, my righteousness, alone, Faultless to stand before the throne.

On Christ, the solid Rock I stand;

All other ground is sinking sand,

All other ground is sinking sand.
