Committed to the Process
Over and over in the Bible you see where someone is taken through a process. You see where they start and you watch as God grows them. He forms them into a mighty tool that he can use to lead his people or help someone who needs it. Most of the time restoration is found. Life is a process we go through highs and lows. Our life is a journey, some live a life where they can be a strength that others can lean on. Some, in the category that I fall under are restored.
I say that to say this. Our Church is growing in a ministry that is so very valuable. Life has chewed up and spit out people who need to see Jesus. The devil roams around like a roaring lion seeking whoever he can devour. The church is placed in a position to gather and help in every way we can. I have so much joy seeing everyone in the church pull together and demonstrate the love of Jesus. God is calling out to the broken and drawing them into His love and mercy.
This ministry is what I imagine Jesus doing, we always see him in the Bible with this very group of people. He stands at the road of redemption and welcomes all who turn and run into his arms. We have to be committed to the process. God is going to stretch us, He is going to help us mature and mold us into a tool that will change our community. All He wants to know is are you committed to the process?
“Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” 2 Corinthians 13:11, 14 ESV
