Intimacy with God
Lately I am relishing my time with the Lord and enjoying just sitting in his presence in the quiet of the morning. This time is beginning to teach me how to walk out my sanctification. How to walk in Holiness. The state of holiness is where there is no difference in a person between our public lives and our lives at home. There should be no difference in what we profess as to what we practice. You have heard the term practice what you preach. This is at the root. To be genuine to be whole and one with Christ means we must BE the same always. He sees us publicly and privately. We are not hiding anything from Him.
Psalm 33:13 New International Version (NIV)
From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind;
I am so delighted to be able to say that I am the same where ever I am now. There was a time when that was not true in my life. I was riding the fence so to speak. It looked good from the outside but the inside (private life, home life) was not what it seemed. I encourage you to press in to Jesus, seek His kingdom, to be All in.
Matthew 6:33 New International Version (NIV)
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
If you need strength or desire to walk in holiness, to have intimacy with God then ask for it! If you will seek Him, He is faithful to fill you up. This takes some time but well worth the effort. The more time I spend the more desire to be pure at heart! To walk out my days pleasing the Lord. There is freedom that comes from holiness! Guilt and shame leave as intimacy increases and being the same becomes life in Christ. I want more Lord!
Matthew 5:8 New International Version (NIV)
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
