They Are Watching Us
Many of us work among those who question any form of deity, or have never stepped foot in a church, let alone accepted Christ as their personal savior. Their blinders are so far up that the only face that they can possibly see is their own and their god becomes the serving of themselves.
Every day at work, I see many people come in with Christian t-shirts, and/or emblems. I also see many church and youth groups. These same people will come up and lie about their child’s age to get a discount on a ticket with a non-believer standing behind the counter with them knowing full well that they are not being told the truth. We have to take the customers word for it no matter what is being told. What is the actual price being paid here?
My co-workers have made many comments towards actions that are no different than the ones that they make on a daily basis. They need to see in everything that we do that it is not all about us, but about reflecting the God that we serve. It’s about being Christ-like in everything that we do regardless of costs or petty monetary values. The cost is far too great. Remember, they are watching us.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
