Now the God of peace…even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21
Recently, I’ve been impressed through scripture and testimonies as to how God goes before us in all things and equips us too. I found this in a sample devotional and keep it taped to my desk:
When the Lord challenges you to do something that you feel is beyond your abilities, you have two options: You can focus on Christ and proceed in triumph, or you can focus on yourself and withdraw in defeat. It’s really a matter of faith (and trust). God would never ask you to do something without (going before?) empowering you to accomplish it.
So basically. it’s simple, right? He goes before and He equips us. So, focus on Him and trust or focus on me and no do His will. Easy to do? No, not for me but He’s proved himself to me over and over so I go forth with more boldness now, even though my knees still shake!!
