I Believe

I believe in faith. Faith is the complete trust or confidence in someone or something. It is the bridge between you and what you have hope for and what you dream in. I believe faith can change a person’s life in the way they think, act, or even interact with others. Faith is something that can be everything to someone when they have nothing, when they feel lost or have nothing to hold on to and it’s there for them to have. I believe that with faith it can spark something magnificent in someone giving them a guide or a path to what they want to accomplish. Faith builds a person and makes them grow, at least it did for me.

Faith has played a major role in my life. But faith didn’t just appear out of nowhere, it came from my relationship with Christ. Over the course of my life God has strengthened and tested my faith in ways that I wouldn’t have even imagined to make such an impact on my life; when we heard that my grandma had cancer and when I lost one of my closest friends in a fatal car accident. During those times my faith in God and my faith become firm in the fact that I could rely on him to give me the strength to keep going and give me peace in midst of the storm that felt like it was tearing my life apart.

Believing in faith is putting yourself to the side, almost totally making yourself vulnerable to be able to rely on something bigger than yourself. I love the verse 2 Corinthians 5:7 “ I will walk by faith even when I can not see.” This verse is saying even when I don’t see the good in the future or in my situation I know I can believe in something bigger than my situation and that God will be with me every step of the way.
