Raising the Bar

As an athlete it’s always the dream in sports to be the best on the team and to win a championship or a title. Very few athletes ever figure out the impact that could be made by simply marking those around you better. It is hard for athletes to realize they can have on their own personal success and that of the teams also. One of the arguments for Micheal Jordan being the best basketball player of all time is not just because of his personal talent (which was really good!) but more for his ability to make those around him better which led to numerous championships and titles. As Christians, we are all on the same team and working towards the same goal.

Romans 12: 5

We are many parts of on body, and we all belong to each other

We spend a lot of time working at making ourselves the best we can be on a team. Jow much time do we devote to making those on our team better as well? Take time to invest in those around you. Encouraging words, lending a helping hand, and lending words of wisdom. There are so many more ways we can lift up and help make those on our team the best they can be to grow the kingdom!

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Therefore encourage one another and build another up, just as you are doing
