Sounds of Silence

Sometimes we go a long time hearing from God and having an instant connection when we seek it. We pray and it feels like we know what He's saying. But then it all stops. You can't connect no matter how hard you try. You didn't do anything wrong but it feels like you did. The thing is God's letting it happen. He's testing you.

Job went through the worst attack with a purpose. He went through the worst things ever. He lost his friends and family all his things. All without hearing from God. But he didn't doubt God.

We all go though these “Job” moments. If you haven't, you will. When we moved I felt so lost. I questioned God. Why would you take me away from my home, my friends, and my plans? But He knew I needed to be shaken up. I hadn't heard from God personally in a long time until we moved here.

When we go through these trials, we're being tested. Especially when we really want to grow. Like in everything we ask God for, He's not just gonna give it to us. He's gonna give us an opportunity to go try.

The thing is God is letting this happen. It's attacking with a purpose. When we have those moments of silence, it's a time to grow in the Word and God. And if your in one of those moments right now don't give up. It's just a season. Seasons change.

The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry.
