Fear

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

How many go through fear? All of us do. And sometimes that fear is greater than we know. And if we let it consume us and devour our soul and corrupt our mind then that gets in our way of our spiritual relationship with God.

What's one of the most important things in a steady relationship? I'd say understanding. Well guess what? God has a SUPERNATURAL understanding. Philippians 4:7 tells us about this, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

So if we can just overcome this fear we'll be good. Yes… but sometimes it's not as easy as stepping over a puddle. Puddles can get pretty big. For some of us a little puddle is in front of us and we know we can put this behind us. But you've heard of many other storms and new fears that could make more puddles. And you think that you can stick with the little fear you have and be okay. But is that all you want to be… is that okay? No. You want to move on but you don't think he'll understand. Guess what? He does. Others have huge puddles or even more or one right after another and have gotten used to the storm coming right back after it stops to evaporate.

God's love and grace is all the bridge you need to cross it. He provided you with a spirit of love and power and a sound mind. That's all you need. Fear isn't exactly natural. We were never supposed to sin or fear anything but God. However, the enemy came and put that rock in your garden. It's time to pick up that rock and replace it with a seed of love, power, and a sound mind. Maybe some of you are ready to pick up the rock but are afraid of what's under it. God gave you the spirit of power. It's all about your mind. It's going to all other alternatives. Like when you text someone and they don't respond for a really really really long time. And you start to think Oh no they don't like me anymore! They're cheating! They've moved on! It gets that way with God sometimes. We think of all the other things when in all honesty he was there all along.
