The Necessity to Get Alone with God

Song of Solomon 2:10 "My beloved said to me, 'Get up, my true love, my beautiful one, and come with me'.”

Psalm 85:8 (God's word translation) "I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for He will speak peace....."

Mark 6:31-32 "And Jesus said to them, 'Come with me privately to a solitary place, and let us rest for a while.' For many people were coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. So they went away in a boat by themselves to a solitary place...."

Psalm 23:5 "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies."

Today, close your eyes and come away with me, God says, and I will give you rest for your soul. (Soul = Your mind, your will and your emotions.)

Now still today, see that table provided by the Lord and seated with Him. You are at His table, the table of His Promises and Provisions. Whatever the need is, He says, "I am here", and not only is He here but so willing to talk with you.

So today, He, God, is calling His beloved away...to spend time with. So listen with your heart!

Father God, I love you and I come to you in Jesus name....to rest and be refreshed in your presence. I need that timely voice to speak to me today. Refresh my soul.
