The Proper PPE

I want to tell you of the importance of Personal Protective Equipment. At work we call it PPE for short, but it is a requirement for all employees to wear it at all times. This is not for the company but for the employee. I want to talk about just a few, but starting with the ones that are the most important to the worker. You must have a proper fitting Hard Hat, you must have safety glasses, and gloves. Head injuries are extremely dangerous. The funny thing is some get into too much of a hurry they forget to grab it or forget to put it on.

This is also true with our Christian walk, we get in a hurry. The helmet of our salvation is left in the truck, is left at the house. Some think that nothing will ever happen to them. They forget in life the adversary is wondering around like a roaring lion seeking out who he mighty destroy. In our safety meetings at work they talk to us about poor behavior and the danger of these behaviors. Because most injuries don’t happen the first time but after repeated times. It is so important to put your PPE on before you leave the house.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:10-17 NASB
