Stand Before the Lord

“Meanwhile all Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children. And the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly.” 2 Chronicles 20:13-14 ESV

It was common in that day that they would come and stand all day sometimes to just hear the scripture being read. When faced with adversity or a life struggle you have to stand before the Lord. Devotion is needed. Sometimes we give up too quick like we tried that, and it didn’t work let’s try something else. Stand until you get an answer, sometimes life is too loud to hear what the Father is telling us. Block everything out and let your heart cry out steadfast on not leaving till you hear the answer.

Make it a family issue, notice in the scripture that the whole family had been brought together to stand before the Lord. Not only does it bring unity in your home but it teaches your children what to do in adversity. Principles taught from a young age are the foundation for the rest of their lives. A Christ centered home is a home built on the rock. No matter what comes against it, it will stand.

Your Attitude while waiting determines how affected you are. You can choose to be happy or choose to be miserable either way you are the one choosing. Choose Joy and choose to let go and let God.
