See Him, Know Him, Love Him Part 3 Let's Keep our Eyes on the Prize

One day the Pharisees were questioning Jesus about all the things that they did not understand. He answered them by telling them that “You search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life, but these are they which testify of Me.” You see, they were searching and reading in vain because they were doing it on their own and without Jesus in mind. Without the Holy Ghost revealing Christ in the Word, the Bible can never be understood.

He is the key to it all.

Without Jesus as the focus, The Bible is a mystery. Without Jesus as the focus, Faith becomes a self-glorifying attempt to manipulate our surroundings (and ultimately God). Without Jesus as the focus, Sanctification and Godly holiness turn into smug “holier than thou” self- righteousness.

Without Jesus as the focus, Love becomes shallow and the world’s greatest source of disillusionment and disappointment. SO...... (As the old song says)

Don’t lose your vision of Jesus! Keep your eyes ever on Him. Many friends and dear loved ones have lost their way, for they have lost their vision of Him.

Without a Vision, the people perish -Proverbs 29:18

MY PRAYER FOR EACH DAY: Lord Jesus, I want to thank You for all that You’ve done but most of all for who You are. Please continue to reveal Yourself to me and allow me through the power of the Holy Spirit to see You not just working in the Bible but also in the day to day moments of my life. Create in me a heart that wants nothing greater than to know and love You in an intimate and personal way.
