Be Strong and Courageous

The phrase “be strong and courageous” is one we have heard quite often in church. In fact it’s in the Bible 13 times, which means this is what we need to be as child of God. Interestingly enough we hear a similar message in the world as well. But there is a difference when we hear this as his children.

You see if you are not a child of God you are relying solely on yourself for the strength and courage. This will work for a little while, but in your own strength and courage you will not succeed. Ahh, but there is a good news!

When you are a child of the Most High God then you can “be strong and courageous” in Him! We have a God who goes before us and who is the Victor. When we are His children we are victorious as well since we are heirs of God. Make today a day that you be “strong and courageous” because the Lord your God is with you. Hallelujah!
