A More Excellent Way

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3

The above verses clearly reveal the result of not allowing the love of God to control our lives. Please read 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a. Here are listed the attributes of God’s unconditional love. If we humble our hearts before him, submitting our wills to the Holy Spirit, then he will always lead us to walk in God’s love and our lives will produce His mercy to not condemn others in their faults. This then will open the door of our hearts for the power of grace to crucify our flesh (die to self) and manifest the attributes of God’s love in our lives. Now we are walking in the light (in love) as He Himself is in the light and we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
