Do You Know Who You Are?

Of all things, I was watching a Disney movie with my children the other day and there was a key part in the movie where Rafiki (The wise monkey) asked Simba if he knew who he really was. It seemed like a very simple question, but it caused the Lion to think on who he really was. Rafiki even went as far as to show him his reflection in the water. After some time, Simba saw a reflection of his father and learned who he really was, he was the son of the king. This is very true in our lives today. We have several opportunities every day to showcase who it is that we really are, but do we live up to that each time. Can others around us tell that we are a child of the Most High King?

Galatians 3:26 For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through Faith

We are children of the King, but do we live like it? Now that can be a tough concept these days as we see so many celebrity’s children getting in trouble and making poor choices, but do we exemplify the characteristics of God that He would be proud of His children, or do people have to take a second look, or even look harder just to see Christ in us? We are Children of the Most High King...let it show daily!
