Five More Minutes

What if you only had

Five more minutes

To walk upon this earth

What would fill your schedule

What would come to mind

What would be their worth

Who can say what span of time

For each one yet remains

Seconds spent are they divine

Moments cannot be reclaimed

What if you only had

Five more minutes

What would remain in your heart

What would be there in it

When your time to depart

Would they be spent for Jesus

Or squandered selfishly

In slavery or freedom

How would those moments be

What if all believers

Lived five minutes at a time

Would it change words and behavior

Would we follow God’s design
