This is a word I use a lot in the coaching world. This one word is what separates a lot of athletes in the world of sports. An athlete’s ability to perform at a high level over and over again is the biggest factor in determining the level of sports that an athlete makes it to. There are a lot of one hit wonders and do it for a little while players, but the players that are remembered the most have made it a lifestyle to perform at a very elite level.
Consistency is also a big factor in what separates a lot of Christians too.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
I don’t know about you but that sounds pretty consistent to me. I know I am even preaching to the choir on this one, but how many times we fall short on the consistency in our daily walk with Christ. It is very easy to skip a day in the Word because we are too busy or cut prayer time short or out because we have something to do.
I challenge you to write down and make a commitment to an amount of time in the Word and in prayer each day and track it for a while. See where are you at with your consistency in your time with God? If nothing else, writing it down and then knowing that you are achieving it will give you some encouragement or maybe open your eyes to areas you can improve on!
