Memorizing Scripture: Yes or No

The Bible has much to say about the benefits of memorizing scripture. Psalm 1:2-3 promises that a person who continually meditates upon the scriptures will prosper in whatever he or she does.

Today I want you to look closely at the word prosper. Do you really realize the significance of meditating and memorizing the scriptures that God has not only give us but His benefits of prosperity in doing so.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water to irrigate, which yield its fruit in its season… and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.

Psalm 1:2-3

Today take a challenge of memorizing one verse a week…In one year, you will have some verses hid in your heart.
