In Over My Head
I know that I am not the only person to experience this feeling. So, I am just sharing what I have learned. The truth is this is called “ Life.” Everyone would chose a life where we could have zero stress, and never get our feet pulled out from under us but adversity builds perseverance. God places us in a place where we are dependent on Him.
Exodus is a great Book in the Bible to read to see an example of someone who was in over their head. Moses was tending His sheep in the wilderness when he spotted a burning bush. His life was forever changed he was in charge up to now, but from here on God took the lead.
“Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.”
Exodus 3:1-2
The people of Israel were crying out for freedom. God heard the cries of His People and paid a visit to a man who was unqualified for the position. You could say Moses was in over his head. One man against a pharaoh and the most powerful nation on the earth. Here is the hidden secret, if God sends you on a mission it is not your mission, it is His. Moses had to trust in the Lord when the pharaoh stood against him, when the Israelites turned on him. You could say He was in over his head. He had no power of his own but he had the Power of the Lord. Adversity builds perseverance, when we feel like the ground is crumbling under us, God is with us. The Lord is leading us to the promise land but we have to know that we made it there only because on Him and His power.
