Matthew 7:21
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
I am as guilty as anyone in having times in our lives where it is easy to say we are a Christian with a great relationship with our heavenly father. However, when push comes to shove we have a hard time accepting and living out the will of our father. It doesn't always match up with or align with the plans we had. It may even keep us out of our comfort zone. And that's just it, he doesn't want us to have it easy, he wants to know we are willing to work at it and not just say it when it comes to our Christian walk.
Matthew 7:24
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Knowing this, we must now put it into practice in our daily lives. Just saying you are a Christian or that you know who Jesus is will not get us in the gate. But living a lifestyle in such a way that it is in line with the will of our heavenly father. Live each day in your relationship with Christ so you can more clearly hear when he speaks to you, and you know you are living in His will.
