His Strength

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

I find myself in situations where I’m throwing my hands up and saying, “God I have no power to help this situation, only you can handle this.” It is often a helpless feeling until I am reminded of His Word.

In times of uncertainty we have to step out of our feelings and into the truth of God’s Word. We kid ourselves into believing we are in control, and when life reminds us that we aren’t, often we get shook. The key is to remember the Lord is in control and it’s our weakness or crisis that serves as a reminder. Thank the Lord it’s the impossibilities that prove His glory and faithfulness time and time again. Romans 1 tells us “the righteous shall love my faith.” So, whatever has you overwhelmed, step into faith, commit your powerlessness to Him and watch His strength in your weakness.
