Get to Work
As we prepared for this coming week with our youth students, we focused on a passage from Romans 10:12-15.
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. ”How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!
We are preparing to have several outreach opportunities within our community. We brought out the point that how many people in our daily lives have never heard the gospel? The Bible calls us to be the ones to spread the Word/Good News. You don’t have to wait for a fall festival or an outreach to make an impact. Your feet are moving daily all over, are you carrying the gospel with you each moment?
Start by trying to work in a piece of good news into each conversation. Maybe make a reference to a Bible verse or a story. You don’t have to preach a sermon to them, but just seize every moment to spread God’s Word. Besides, in today’s world if we don’t talk about it and share it, who will...it starts with us. Get to work and spread the Word of Jesus Christ!
