Faith's Great Reward

Hebrews 11:24 “Faith enabled Moses to choose God’s will for although he was raised as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, he refused to make that his identity. (TPT)

Hebrews 11:26-27 “He found his true wealth in suffering abuse for being anointed, more than in anything the world could offer him, for his eyes looked with wonder not on the immediate, but on the ultimate— faith’s great reward! Holding faith’s promise Moses abandoned Egypt and has no fear of Pharaoh’s rage because he persisted in faith as if he had seen God who is unseen.”(TPT)

Faith will impart the power to put on our true identity Christ is calling us to. Forgetting the past, refusing to live in an identity that is not our heritage and stepping into who God says we are. We may not see ourselves as brave warriors for Christ, and Moses certainly had his apprehension as well. However, he chose to cut ties with comfort and step into the calling of God on his life. It is not the present situation, how we think or even how we feel that makes the plan of God a reality. It’s partnering with the Holy Spirit, knowing in our weakness He is strong, and submission to His plan.

When we partner with God and step out into faith we are no longer the deciding factor for what is best for our lives. Faith obeys when it looks crazy, faith sees the vision fulfilled when there’s no hint of success, faith holds on to the promise and most of all faith perseveres.

It is possible to live in the fullness of who God says we are. It is possible for his promises to come to pass. However, we have a responsibility to engage our faith, trust and submission to walk in the identity He has for us.
