God Uses a Fast to Reveal Himself

Oh Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Your name in all the earth, who have displayed Your splendor above the heavens! Psalm 8:1 (NASB)

God will use this fast to reveal Himself and His will to you. Oh, we can see Him in our surroundings. The mountains and valleys He created. We can see Him in the shadow of the cross. We can see Him in the vastness of the heavens and the depth of the stars. We can even see Him in the smiles on the faces of children and loved ones. But what about the very recess of our life. In our private places and thoughts?

In the Old Testament, God revealed Himself through prophets. Today, He reveals Himself and his love for us through His Son. We are comforted and guided by the Holy Spirit. God’s plan and strength for our life is revealed to us through His Word. To reveal is to make known. God will use this fast to make His presence known in your life. In your private places and in your deepest thoughts. Spend time in His presence and He will reveal His purpose and plan for your life. Spend time in His presence and peace will flood your soul. Spend time in His presence and the things of God will be revealed.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the thing which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2: 9-10 (KJV)
