Faith to Forgiveness and Healing

February 20, 2020

Are you missing something? Do you have wounds? Scars that no one can see? I do, as I know if you are human we all have some sort of wound or scar. Whatever yours may be, there is healing.... Do you want healing? I know I do. Do you have obstacles or as I call them speed bumps in your life? Do you ever wonder what it would be like to not have these and just be whole?

“Lord, I want to be whole!” has been the cry of many of our hearts in the midst of hardship and suffering and even sicknesses. Most of our trials are related to our relationships with others. Despite our devotion to God, depression, discontent, anger, bitterness, and frustration these are all symptoms indicating that we have “poor emotional health.” Or as most call it “suffering”.  But there’s help! Gods help!!!
God wants to heal you, he wants to heal all of us as His Word affirms “‘For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord”

Jeremiah 30:17.

As long as you remain offended or torn down by events related to your past, it’s as if you’re letting the devil manipulate you like a puppet. Using each of your emotions like strings, he will lead you to think, say, or do the opposite of God’s plans.

I don’t know your story, but I know mine maybe you still have bad memories that you are holding on too:

  • That go back to your childhood,

  • That remind you of someone’s betrayal,

  • That are related to a recent conflict.

  • Or even an addiction some sort of strong hold

Whatever your wounds are, the path to healing is through forgiveness, the inescapable first step. It means to “receive God’s forgiveness and let its reality penetrate the deepest part of our being.” In other words, to say goodbye to the past. Isaiah 43:18-19 Sometimes it’s the hardest thing. But you are strong.... Have faith and pray.

Matthew 6:14 “God forgives you quickly and completely upon your confession of wrongdoing.” But forgiveness is a two way street. “Forgiveness is a choice that we make. We base our decision not on what we feel like doing but on what we know is right.”

Do you want to have better emotional health, end the suffering and feel whole again or maybe even for the first time? It’s simple as a prayer and having faith. Faith that God will help, deliver you and set you free.

“Lord, help me to let go of the past so that I can enter into everything You’ve planned for me. Show me who I need to forgive, and help me release complete forgiveness to others. Heal me of all the painful memories that have marked my life so that I can become all You created me to be. In Jesus name, amen.”

Each deliverance God works in your life will set up more healing and deliverance for you in the future. One builds upon another until freedom and wholeness become a way of life.”
