Heaven. Is that the Place Where Everyone Goes When They Die?

I'm afraid that's what many believe, since when anyone dies, you will often hear people say, "yes they are in heaven now?" And that is very true..IF that person has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, asked him to forgive them of their sins, and live a life serving Him.. But according to the Bible not everyone will go to Heaven!.

Heaven is really on my mind. It could be that's because I'm getting older and by virtue of age, I will be leaving earth pretty soon. Or maybe heaven is on my mind because I see the signs of Christ's soon return.

Perhaps Heaven is on my mind because I know not all of my family and friends are not ready to meet the Lord. and I'm concerned for their souls. Or perhaps Heaven is on my mind because some of the old hymns we use to sing were often about Heaven.

Back in the days before my voice has gotten shaky when I sing: I remember a friend and I were preparing to sing a duet. We were going through the hymnal and had several songs picked out that we thought might work. All of a sudden, one of us stopped and said, "Have you noticed that every song we have chosen as a possibility are songs about Heaven? Then we each wondered if the Lord was telling us to prepare for our heavenly flight?

One of my older nieces shared a story with me recently. Her son is not living for the Lord and he was talking to his Mother said, "Mom do you feel like singing today?" (He had always enjoyed music). She said, "sure what would you like to sing?" He started off singing "When the Roll is Called up Yonder". When he got to the part that said, "I'll be there", he stopped singing and didn't go on any farther. So she told him, "lets sing that chorus again" And when she got to the part that said, When the Roll is called up Yonder I'll be there, she changed the words to "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder Will YOU be there?" He stumbled around and said he didn't know.

I just finished reading a book by Jentezen Franklin entitled "Acres of Diamonds". In it he wrote and I quote with some abbreviation, "I'll tell you what heaven is not. No divorce courts, no addiction centers, no pornography, no drug problems, no alcoholics". Are we prepared to live in such a wonderful place?

These songs come to my mind..."Lovest Thou Me More Than These My Child", "When We All Get to Heaven", "Then I Fell On My Knees and Cried Holy" and changing the words somewhat, "Is it Well With Your Soul?

Heaven. I'm looking forward to it and it could be soon. If you have ever been to a funeral, you'll realize that not all the caskets are the same length. The Bible says, "no eye has seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
