The Look of Love Today

“Look, you blind, that you may see.” Isaiah 42:18b

Let’s check out today the different ways we can look. But first…what is the first thing you use to catch something?...Your eyes.

Look Back …To remember God’s love and blessings. He saved me, provides for me and my future is bright. Read Psalms 77:11

Look Up …To worship and praise the Lord always! “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.” Psalms 34:1 Read Psalms 103:1 and Psalms 5:1-3 “Look up”

Look Down …In humility. Stay humble, always bow! Read James 4:6 God gives grace to the humble. Read Proverbs 18:12 …before honor is humility.

Look Forward ...In confidence and hope. Read Psalms 31:15 My time or my future is in your hands. Isaiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you and expected end or a good future.” (Your focus today will determine your future.)

Look Within …daily and thoroughly search your heart and head to repent. The truth of God’s word will convict and direct you to get forgiveness and cleansing. Psalms 51:6 “Behold, thou desireth truth in the inward parts and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.”

Look Around …Be vigilant, which means keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties. Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flows the springs of life. Proverbs 4:23

Looking Unto Jesus …as your Savior. Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith:” (Fix your focus and your future will be blessed.)

“If you then be risen with Christ Jesus, seek those things which are above where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affections on things above, not on things of the earth.” Colossians 3:1-2

P.S. Don’t forget to look for the lost, the poor, the broken hearted, the captives, the blind, the bruised and preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Luke 4:18-19
